Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best installation locations for satellite dishes.
- Install satellite dishes, receivers, and related equipment, ensuring all components are properly aligned and functioning.
- Run and connect cables, ensuring neat and secure installations.
- Test installed systems to confirm optimal signal strength and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal reception, equipment malfunctions, and connectivity problems.
- Educate customers on system operation, features, and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, services performed, and equipment used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installation and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated with the latest satellite technology advancements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a satellite technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Reliable vehicle capable of transporting necessary equipment, including a ladder.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Ownership of necessary tools and equipment for installations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with fiber optic cabling and networking.
- Familiarity with various satellite television systems and providers.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Salary
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
