Description

The Behavior Technician provides 1:1 interventions to children with autism to help improve their academic, social, and communication skills. They implement programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Behavior Technician collaborates closely with the BCBA to implement various approaches, such as Verbal Behavior, Discrete Trial Programming, Natural Environment Teaching, and Social Skills. They conduct therapy sessions, collect data, document behaviors, and provide session summaries to parents and the BCBA.


Position Requirements:

- Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred but not required. Prior experience working with children is helpful.

- Candidates should be energetic, animated, and outgoing, with a passion for working with children.

- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities, is necessary.

- Ability to implement behavior support plans and complete clinical and administrative tasks as directed by a supervisor.

- Must be able to bend, lift, run, stoop, kneel, and transition quickly from a seated floor position to a standing position.

- Must be able to handle moderate challenging behaviors.

$20 - $25 per hour
