Position Overview
The Project Manager will be at the forefront of creating remarkable audio-visual experiences. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, with a primary focus on technical event leadership, technical production expertise, equipment event planning, and labor event planning. With a blend of creativity and precision, you will guide projects from conception to execution, ensuring seamless collaboration between clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
Technical Leadership of Events – 30%
- Lead onsite teams to ensure successful execution of events with budgets up to $300K.
- Meet or exceed target margins through effective crew management, successful utilization of gear, etc.
- Provide strong leadership, direction, and problem-solving during live productions.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to exceed event expectations.
- Execute the plan as designed. Keeping track of any changes that might have budget impact and following up with sales and production team to capture changes effectively
- Hold onsite team and technicians accountable for living up to Bright AV standards. Discipline and communicate shortcomings with onsite personnel on an as needed basis.
Technical Production Expertise – 30%
- Work closely with the Producer, Sales, and Creative teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Create CAD drawings, cable plans, and production schedules to guide the team effectively.
- Diagrams: technical diagrams, floor plan diagrams, rigging, fire marshall.
- Coordinate with venues to ensure seamless integration of AV setups.
- Communicating power and dock requirements to onsite planning team/CSM.
- Work with sales in keeping Intellivent updated as changes are made from a technical standpoint or a technical request onsite.
Equipment Event Planning – 20%
- Develop comprehensive plans for AV equipment requirements based on project specifications.
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of necessary equipment.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest AV technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance events.
Labor Event Planning – 20%
- Plan and manage labor resources efficiently, ensuring adequate staffing levels for each event.
- Foster strong relationships with freelancers and contractors to build a reliable labor pool.
- Work closely with the Director of Technical Operations and Manager, People Operations to address staffing needs, including recruitment and training initiatives.
Compensation: Base salary of $70,000-$90,000 based on experience and commission. Final offers are commensurate with prior experience, your specific skill set, and may vary from the amount above.
