About Bridger Ski Foundation

Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF) is a nonprofit community ski organization based in Bozeman, Montana. We provide and fund educational and competitive programs for all ages, year round, in Nordic, Alpine, Freeskiing, Freestyle, Freeride, Skimo, and Snowboarding. BSF also grooms an incredible network of free community Nordic ski trails for the public in Bozeman. With roots dating back to 1936, BSF has a long, rich history of keeping skiing a grassroots, volunteer-based activity for local families.

‬‬Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF), is seeking qualified Alpine Coaches for the 2026/27 season.‬

BSF offers educational and competitive programs in Alpine, Nordic, Freestyle, and‬

Freeskiing disciplines.‬


We are looking for passionate, motivated individuals who align with our mission of

‭ accessible skiing and winter trail stewardship."


‭Open Positions

Part-Time Seasonal Coaches‬

  • ‭Position: U10/U12 Assistant Coaches‬
  • ‭Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday afternoons, weekends, and travel days‬
  • ‭Start Date: September 15‬
  • ‭End Date: April 15‬

Club Team Coach (Part-Time) (formerly known as Intro)‬

  • Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays only (no travel required; all sessions at Bridger Bowl)‬
  • Start Date: January 6‬
  • End Date: March 10‬

‭‭ Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):‬

  • ‬‭ Work independently and as part of a coaching team across all age groups‬
  • ‬‭ Communicate clearly with Alpine Directors, Head Coaches, athletes, and parents‬
  • ‬‭ Create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment aligned with BSF’s mission
  • ‬‭ Organize and lead athlete training sessions‬
  • ‬‭ Set up and tear down daily training environments (must lift 50 lbs and set courses)‬
  • ‬‭ Maintain equipment and uphold venue standards‬
  • ‬‭ Follow and enforce Bridger Bowl’s Code of Conduct‬
  • ‬‭ Travel within and beyond the Northern Division‬
  • ‬‭ Be present and engaged at all home races and events‬
  • ‬‭ Represent BSF professionally within the Gallatin Valley and surrounding communities‬


‬‭ Time on snow: Part-Time: 2–3 days/week‬

Requirements‬:

  • ‬‭ In good standing with U.S. Ski & Snowboard‬
  • ‬‭ Pass a background check, complete SafeSport training, and meet USSS compliance‬ requirements
  • ‬‭ Valid driver's license‬
  • ‬‭ Alpine ski racing and venue prep experience‬
  • ‬‭ Prior coaching experience preferred‬
  • ‬‭ Minimum Level 100 USSS coaching certification‬ (not required - BSF can help facilitate this certification)

Salary

$120 - $150 per day
