About the role

We’re looking for a New York Licensed Veterinary Technician who enjoys hands-on medicine and strong teamwork. You’ll partner with veterinarians and assistants across scheduled and same-day visits. The day may include outpatient nursing, diagnostics, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and recovery. Your observations and communication matter to every part of that work.

What you’ll do

• Provide nursing care and monitor patients in outpatient, procedural, and recovery settings.
• Perform authorized technical duties within your license and training, including sample collection, laboratory testing, imaging support, medication administration, and treatment delivery under veterinarian direction.
• Prepare, monitor, and recover anesthetized patients; support surgical and dental procedures and keep complete anesthetic records.
• Recognize changes in patient status and communicate concerns promptly to the veterinarian.
• Explain approved treatment plans, estimates, home care, and follow-up in language clients can understand.
• Document care and handoffs accurately in Digitail, and help assistants develop safe patient care habits.

What we’re looking for

• An active New York State veterinary technician license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain one before starting.
• Spanish speaking is strongly preferred, not required.
• Confident patient handling, clinical judgment, and experience with anesthesia monitoring and nursing care.
• Clear communication, dependable teamwork, and attention to detail. 
• Comfort moving between planned appointments and urgent patient needs.

Position details

• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
• Pay: $27-29/hour | Full time, eligible for overtime
