Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Assembly: Assemble parts, components, and materials to create sub-assemblies or final products based upon blueprints/schematics and documented work instructions
  • Quality Control: Assist with the inspection of raw materials, work in process, and finished products to identify defects. Ensure strict adherence to specifications, drawings and instructions before items move to the next stage. Able to properly use and read basic inspection and measurement tools
  • Tool/Machine Operation: Safely operate, monitor, and perform basic assembly using machinery and tools (may include basic troubleshooting or routine maintenance)
  • Material Handling: Handle raw materials and work in process; move materials between workstations and/or warehouse, and prepare goods for storage, packaging and shipping
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols (to include proper PPE), manufacturing guidelines and instructions, and all regulatory and environmental policies and procedures
  • Record-Keeping: Document and record production quantities, material usage timely and accurately; report any assembly issues or equipment malfunctions to appropriate management

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination to manipulate small parts and utilize tools, both manual and automated.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot defects and properly align components according to measurements, drawings and instructions.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to troubleshoot and document minor equipment and assembly issues and keep production lines moving efficiently.
  • Time Management: Strong focus to meet fast-paced production targets as well as strict schedule deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Ability to communicate and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and fellow workers.

Education & Experience

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of experience. Vocational training, technical certification, or an associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing technology) is preferred.  

Work Environment: 

This role is based onsite at Bridge Appliances and requires regular, consistent in-person presence. The position may involve extended periods of sitting and standing, as well as routine interaction with equipment and team members. This role is hands-on and based in a manufacturing environment; some work may be performed in a lab or prototyping environment. Occasional off-site coordination may be required for vendor support, product testing, customer service, or materials handling.
