Job Summary:

We are seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of embedded systems for our state-of-the-art products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in low-level programming, microcontroller/microprocessor architecture, and hardware-software integration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain testable embedded systems software for robotic devices in concept and in production.
  • Work on low-level programming for microcontrollers/microprocessors
  • Design, implement, and optimize real-time operating systems.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure smooth hardware-software integration.
  • Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for embedded systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Review and manage custom PCB development and requirements
  • Identify and implement solutions to support various compliance requirements such as Functional Safety for UL certification
  • Identify and recommend hardware components required to deliver a great customer experience


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in embedded systems development, including C/C++ programming.
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures and embedded hardware.
  • Proficiency in real-time/near real-time operating systems and device drivers.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with developing circuit board schematics and component selection
  • Experience implementing displays and highspeed communication
  • experience with AC and DC systems
  • experience implementing control loops and feedback systems
  • Familiarity with debugging tools and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with implementing GUI solutions for end-user interactions
  • Knowledge regarding various sensors and their limitations
  • Familiarity with implementing and maintaining testing frameworks for new and existing code
  • Familiarity with implementing IoT solutions
