Bricks & Minifigs is first and foremost a fun place for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy and explore their passion for LEGO. Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned, and part of a growing franchise, headquartered in Orem, UT. We are a buy, sell, trade store that encourages customers to reuse, rebuild and reimagine with LEGO elements

HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Contribute to an atmosphere that balances a casual/friendly feel with professionalism. • Help customers of all ages learn their way around the store and develop an understanding of how the Bricks & Minifigs experience is unique. 
• Make sure the environment is safe and welcoming. 
• When customer service is not required, prioritize time around other essential duties in a way that demonstrates efficiency, proficiency, and ability to follow directions. 
• Collaborating proactively and constructively with line management and other colleagues. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• 50% Greeting and assisting customers in person and on the phone (requires a lot of standing)
• 5% Checking customers out on the point-of-sale system 
• 10% Sorting and cleaning bulk LEGO 
• 10% Building and repairing used sets 
• 5% Organizing and stocking products (requires lifting up to 50 pounds) 
• 5% Sharing in cleaning responsibilities (e.g. vacuuming, restroom cleaning, dusting) 
• 5% Supporting hosted and un-hosted in-store party events 
• 5% Supporting management with creative ideas, social media, and shared customer feedback
• 5% Sharing in other general retail activities as needed (e.g. annual stock count, special events)

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Excellent oral and written English communication 
• Ability to be welcoming and approachable  
• Highly organized with good quantitative ability and high degree of accuracy 
•  Intermediate LEGO building skills 
•  Rapidly learn about a variety of goods and systems 
•  Preferred: Knowledge of LEGO product, themes, and history 
•  Preferred: 1+ years of experience in customer service 
•  Act with integrity and accountability 
•  Understand and follow policies, processes and ethical requirements 
•  Work collaboratively with others 
•  A desire to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization 
• Must be comfortable working alongside colleagues with special needs, as we are an all-inclusive employer

COMPENSATION AND PERKS

•  This position requires no more than 30 hours per week with wages generally starting from $13/hour 
•  Employee discounts and product bonuses as per Employee Discount Policy 
•  The shifts run through all the days open (including specified Holidays)
