BrandMotion is seeking a hands-on Mobile Electronics Field Technician to support our growing line of vehicle safety and ADAS systems.


This is not a standard installer position. You’ll work with a range of technologies including:

  • Camera systems (rear, interior, 360°)
  • Electronic rearview mirrors
  • Radar-based safety systems (blind spot, detection, etc.)
  • CAN-based vehicle integrations

This role combines:

  • Installation of mobile electronics
  • Troubleshooting
  • Customer support
  • On-site product validation


You’ll act as a technical representative of Brandmotion, supporting customers both remotely and in the field, while working closely with our internal team.


Travel Requirements

  • Up to 50% travel as needed (not constant)
  • Mix of in-house work, remote support, and field visits
  • Occasional short-notice travel for troubleshooting
  • Travel expenses covered with company credit card


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot 12V automotive electronics, including cameras and safety systems
  • Diagnose wiring, electrical, and system-level issues
  • Provide technical support via phone/email when not traveling
  • Document findings and communicate clearly with internal teams
  • Assist product development team in improving product reliability, installation processes and creating and modifying installation instructions


What We’re Looking For:


Required:

  • Comfortable working with tools, vehicles, and basic wiring
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Interest or familiarity with 12V systems, car audio, or mobile electronics installation
  • Basic understanding of electrical diagnostics (multimeter, voltage, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
  • Willingness to travel when needed
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Backup cameras / dash cams / DVR systems
  • CAN bus / vehicle electronics
  • ADAS or vehicle safety systems
  • Telematics systems
  • Fleet or upfitter environments
  •  Previous installation or field service experience
