**Schedule:** Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm - 5pm | Friday 2:30pm-5pm

**Job Summary:**
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals for our members. This role is crucial in ensuring that our children receive nutritious and tasty meals in a clean and safe environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Meal Preparation:** Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping vegetables, preparing simple recipes, and following specific dietary guidelines.
- **Serving:** Serve meals to club members in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring portion control and adherence to any dietary restrictions.
- **Clean-Up:** Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and taking out the trash.
- **Inventory Management:** Help in monitoring kitchen inventory, restocking supplies as needed, and informing the Kitchen Manager of any shortages.
- **Health & Safety:** Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- **Team Collaboration:** Work cooperatively with other staff members and volunteers to ensure smooth kitchen operations and a positive dining experience for members.
- **Member Interaction:** Build positive relationships with club members, providing a welcoming and supportive environment during meal times.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with children and staff.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team’s success.
