Position: Medical Assistant (Back Office)

Location: Beverly Hills, CA 

Tuesdays - Fridays 8 am-5pm or 9am-6pm


Key Responsibilities include MOSTLY back office duties with front office floating responsibilities:

 • Patient Care: Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to departure.

.• Liaison to VIP patients coordinating concierge visits. 

 • Scheduling: Efficiently manage appointments, coordinating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient flow. 

• Ability to use EMR (Electronic Medical Record) - the practice uses EMA/Modernizing Medicine as the EMR.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient care.


A dermatology medical assistant provides clinical and administrative support under the direction or supervision of the physician or RN designee in accordance with policy, procedure and competency to promote patient health and wellness. Duties may include: patient care, assisting licensed health care professionals, performing various laboratory tests, quality control indicators, and clinical intake. As a dermatology medical assistant, your duties include collecting patient information, taking patient vital signs, preparing rooms and patients for consultations and procedures, updating medical records, and coordinating payments with billing and insurance. Your responsibilities may also include educating patients about skin conditions, treatment options, and cosmetic procedures. You may assist dermatologists with certain medical and cosmetic procedures, including collecting skin samples and specimens for lab testing and diagnostic purposes. 


 Qualifications:

•High School diploma or equivalent

•Phlebotomy certification and experience required

•Minimum of 6 months paid experience in a medical practice (dermatology preferred)

•Must be available to work until 5 pm with flexibility on occasion to work until 6 pm.

•Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Gmail, and how to use a fax, scanner and copier

•Punctual, reliable and honest

•Ability to adapt to change/updates to practice protocols


Salary

$22 - $29 per hour
