Description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for aiding the General Manager in all daily operations of the Born United Norfolk location, driving sales performance, developing team members, and ensuring an exceptional in-store customer experience. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the brand and its products.


Key Responsibilities:

• Establish, monitor, and achieve sales goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

• Promote and uphold Born United’s mission by fostering a welcoming, comfortable, and inclusive shopping environment for all customers.

• Develop a strong understanding of all brands carried in-store and train team members to effectively communicate product knowledge to customers.

• Lead, coach, and motivate the team on a daily basis to build a positive, high-performing store culture.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment that enhances the customer experience.

• Enforce company dress code standards, ensuring all staff represent the Born United brand appropriately.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with company ownership regarding store performance, needs, and concerns.

• Ensure full compliance with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.


Qualifications:

• Previous retail management or leadership experience preferred

• Strong leadership and team development skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of retail sales strategies and customer service best practices


Work Environment & Expectations:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Born United dress code

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform standard retail tasks
