Since its founding, Boudreaux aka ‘Boo’ would pop up across Houston for the next 5 years, slanging what he believed to be one of the city’s best burgers. And it would seem that the city agreed - often selling out after a few hours of being open. 2025 marked the next chapter in Boo’s legacy with the opening of their flagship. Founded by a native Houstonian, Boo’s Burgers is honored to be a homegrown business. The purpose has always been to be a community gathering spot for Houston and a reflection of the rich culture that exists here.

Description

Located on Navigation Blvd, we are a neighborhood burger stand that emphasizes:

1) care towards the food we serve

2) hospitality and service

3) and engaging programming


We're searching for a lead line cook that is looking to sharpen their leadership skills, share their expertise, and become an tegral part of a team that takes pride in putting out consistent quality food at all times.


Pay:

- $20 Base

- Includes tip share

- bi-weekly payroll

- eligible for an annual performance-based bonus


Responsibilities:

- Supervise the work of line cooks to ensure that all given tasks are completed in a timely manner

- Ensure that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment.

- Assist in monitoring food inventories and managing supplies to minimize waste

- Assess the quality of delivered food supplies to ensure that it meets restaurant standards

- Cooking food to order, in accordance with food safety and company specific standards

- Preparing and replenishing ingredients to be used during service

- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area (including but not limited to washing dishes, sweeping, mopping and sanitizing surfaces)

- Deep cleaning kitchen, as needed


Job requirements:

- at least one year of experience as a line cook

- advanced knife skills

- team player

- multi-tasker

- listener

- show up on time ready to work

- work on feet for 5 to 8 hr shifts

- ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- available 11am - midnight 4 shifts/week

- work 30-35 hrs / week

- food handler's card
