Position Overview
Booji Beauty Bar & Co. is hiring a talented and professional Booji Salon Coordinator – Assistant Director to join our multicultural, education-focused team. We’re looking for someone with strong leadership instincts, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for organization and guest experience. This role is designed for a supportive leader who can confidently help manage day-to-day salon operations while uplifting team morale and service quality.
Whether licensed or not, the Assistant Director is a key support to the Lead Salon Director and helps oversee the team, guest interactions, retail, and workflow. For those licensed in cosmetology or esthetics, this role may also include providing services a few days per week while stepping into leadership during non-service hours.
Key Responsibilities
🌟 Daily Operations & Team Support
- Open/close the salon and ensure all areas are clean, stocked, and guest-ready
- Monitor daily schedule flow and resolve issues in real time
- Check in with stylists, estheticians, and front desk to ensure readiness, punctuality, and guest experience
- Support floor leadership—redirecting questions, assisting with escalations, and monitoring team morale
- Lead by example in punctuality, professionalism, and Booji standards
Inventory & Retail
- Restock backbar and retail areas daily
- Monitor inventory levels and alert Lead Director before supplies run low
- Receive shipments and update product tracking tools
- Assist in visual merchandising of the retail area
📣 Guest Experience & Front Desk Oversight
- Greet guests with warmth and professionalism when needed
- Step in to support the Guest Service Expert Coordinator during peak times or callouts
- Monitor service timing and help ensure transitions are smooth
- Respond to guest concerns and assist in resolution
📍 Staff Communication & Coordination
- Communicate clearly with the Lead Salon Director on staffing, scheduling, and daily challenges
- Help implement team initiatives like contests, education, and SOPs
- Support new team member onboarding with tours, introductions, and setup
📊 Admin & Accountability
- Help maintain team checklists and ensure tasks are completed (cleaning, deep cleans, etc.)
- Assist with monitoring time clock compliance and break schedules
- Gather feedback and ideas from the team and report to leadership
- Support execution of promotional or marketing campaigns
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years in a salon, spa, or guest-facing service role
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication, punctuality, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and lead collaboratively
- Available to work weekends and flexible shifts
Preferred:
- Licensed cosmetologist or esthetician in Colorado (not required)
- Experience using salon software (e.g., Boulevard, Vagaro, Square)
- Familiar with Google Suite, Canva, ChatGPT, or other digital tools
- Prior experience in leadership, team lead, or support management
