Home Caregiving (Primary Focus)
- Provide compassionate daily support and companionship for adult family members, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, medication reminders, and mobility support.
- Support individuals with autism and chronic health conditions (e.g., cancer care) — assist with routines, appointments, sensory needs, and emotional well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals/snacks, maintain kitchen organization, and support dietary preferences or medical needs.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, home organization, and errands to keep the household safe and comfortable.
- Coordinate or accompany family members to medical appointments, therapies, or community outings as needed.
- Monitor health and communicate any changes promptly with family members.
- Occasionally stay overnight at the residence to provide care and ensure household security when family principals are away on work travel.
Administrative & Household Support
- Assist with family calendars, scheduling appointments, coordinating vendors, and managing household logistics.
- Handle personal and family administrative tasks: correspondence, document organization, expense tracking, and basic record-keeping.
- Support light business-related admin (e.g., filing, data entry, research, or simple document preparation) as needed.
- Help with special event coordination, travel arrangements, and special family projects.
- Maintain confidentiality with all personal, health, and family information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years in caregiving (CNA, HHA, or PCA certification preferred) and 1–2+ years in administrative, personal assistant, or household management roles.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, positive, and empathetic demeanor.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and calendar tools.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background check and health screenings.
- Key Attribute: High flexibility and willingness to accommodate occasional overnight stays during family work travel.
- Personal Attributes: High integrity, adaptability, and a service-oriented mindset. Comfortable in a family environment with clear professional boundaries.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with mobility and light household tasks (able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally).
Standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (32 hours per week), with the expectation that weekly schedules will be set dynamically in a flexible and collaborative manner to best meet evolving household and family needs.
