Hosts are the first point of contact for our guests, in this position you are responsible for ensuring our guests feel welcomed and valued. As a host, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, maintaining a smooth flow in the front-of-house and managing takeout orders.

Description
Reports To: Floor Manager/FOH General Manager
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
- Manage reservations using our reservation system.
- Ensuring accurate and timely seating of reservations and walk-in guests.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to manage table assignments and wait times.
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries about the restaurant, reservations, and special events.
- Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station and entrance area.
- Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure a pleasant and efficient guest experience.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and tact, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up or breaking down the host/hostess station.
- Take accurate food and drink phone orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to provide exceptional guest service.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Evenings, weekends, and holiday availability required.
