BlueSky Wellness has opportunities for experienced Nurse Practitioners who are looking to join a private practice clinical team and serve a primary role in providing outpatient E/M services with BlueSky Wellness serving as a practice home for clients and their families. Our team will provide opportunities for clients to receive a diverse array of services that our practice offer to address various client and family needs.

We are looking for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (APRN / NP with PMHNP Cert. ) to join a strong, cohesive, and collaborative team that provides medication management within our practice.


We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with expertise in the following:


- Children & Adolescents

- Adults / Co-occurring

Nurse Practitioners are primarily responsible for provision of outpatient E/M services, including prescribing controlled substances as appropriate, diagnosis using DSM 5 criteria, treatment planning, implementation of evidence based interventions, and appropriate maintenance of all clinical and administrative documentation.


Primary responsibilities include:


  • Conducting psychiatric evaluations including ordering /performing /interpreting screening and diagnostic procedures and tests.
  • Conducting routine follow-up visits for monitoring prescribed medication.
  • Conducting emergency consultation, evaluation or follow up visits as needed
  • Providing treatment according to accepted standards, protocols and policies.
  • Assisting in the management of referred and/or complex problems.
  • Documenting assessment findings, treatment recommendations and plan for continuing care in the clinical record.
  • Collaborate with other providers, clinical support staff, administrative staff and community resources in meeting patient and family needs.
  • Provide health promotion, education and counseling for patient/families related to medication, diagnosis, health issues and coping strategies.


TYPE OF POSITION:


Full Time, Hourly - W2


PAY:

  • APRN, NP - Hourly, up to $130k - $176k / yr.

  • Possessing strong diagnostic, intervention, crisis, and overall clinical skills. (Our clients deserve it!)
  • Experience with telehealth. (This makes it easier, but we train!)
  • Skilled professionalism in a very fast paced environment required. (You are a skilled professional!)
  • Good judgment, excellent communication / writing skills, and reliability are necessary. (SKILLS!)
  • Expertise and skill in comprehensive E/M service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possession and appropriate maintenance of a valid license in Connecticut as an APRN or NP. Preference for PMHNP Certification.
  • 3+ years of current post-licensure E/M experience.
  • Ability to practice independently.
  • Eligibility to be credentialed with 3rd party payers. BIG plus if you already are! (This will significantly shorten your start date!)

WORK LOCATION:

  • In office and telehealth as long as insurers continue to cover. When insurers stop reimbursing for telehealth, the job will require fully in-office provision of services.
