The Role
As a Speech Language Pathologist at Bluebonnet Pediatric Therapy, you will work with children to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. You will collaborate with families and other professionals to create individualized therapy plans that promote communication development and enhance quality of life.
What You'll Do
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in children.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on each child's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to children in a one-on-one or group setting.
- Collaborate with families to educate them on therapy goals and strategies to support their child's communication.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary care plans.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent experience.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development in children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with pediatric populations.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
