Required Background and Skills:
- Must have a technical background of some depth related to cyber technologies, hardware, and/or software (able to go deep at least in one cyber area or domain)
- Technology and technical approach related experience with military cyber operations, tools, and integration with transition platforms for operational use
- Experience with supporting DoD research programs in terms of technology management, engagement with research performers, deliverable review, and leading regular calls or meetings with research performers on a technical basis
- Experience involving direct engagement with government transition partners (within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community) and related stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of DoD security guidance, policy, and program execution with respect to test events, conducting research, and technology transition
- Ability to perform high priority and time-sensitive tasks in parallel
- Extreme attention to detail and organizational approach and abilities
- Deeply embraces and understands the “SETA mentality” of keeping programs progressing, working within an agency like DARPA, and communicating among research teams and transition partners
- Top Secret Security Clearance/SCI Eligible
- Ability to work 100% on-site full time in a SCIF environment in Arlington, VA (no regular telework or remote work)
- Travel may be required up to 10-20% of the time
Desired Background and Skills:
- Hands-on tactical experience with analytical products and tools for cyber operations
- Experience with
- Advanced cybersecurity technologies transitioning and entering rapid acquisition from the Department of Defense research community
- –and/or—Testing and evaluation of Department of Defense or Intelligence Community applied research and advanced technology development of cybersecurity technologies and/or prototypes in an operationally relevant environment
- –and/or—Gathering and interpreting information from sensitive platforms for intelligence collection, risk assessment, and reporting
- 5+ years of experience in the above realms
