The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of government contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies.


This role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts and subcontracts to ensure they meet all legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government contracting processes, excellent analytical skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Contract Administration: Manage all aspects of contract administration from inception through closeout, including the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts and subcontracts.

·      Compliance: Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable regulations and guidelines.

·      Negotiation: Lead and participate in contract negotiations with government representatives and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

·      Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring that all potential issues are proactively addressed.

·      Document Preparation: Prepare, review, and edit contractual documents, including RFP responses, contract modifications, extensions, and terminations.

·      Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and government contracting officers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

·      Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and records, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of contract status and metrics to senior management.

·      Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits and reviews, providing documentation and explanations as required.

·      Training: Provide guidance and training to project managers and other staff on contract management best practices and regulatory requirements.

·      Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency and effectiveness.


·      Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.

·      Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration

·      Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting regulations.

·      Proven experience in contract negotiation and administration.

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·      Familiarity with contract management software and tools.

·      Due to the nature of the position, you must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Certifications: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or similar certification is preferred.

·      Secret Security Clearance
