Blue Six is dedicated to providing high quality yoga classes at YogaSix.

Core Responsibilities

1. Deliver Outstanding Class Experiences

• Teach weekly classes across various times and formats: Hot, Sculpt & Flow, Power, Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Restore (Stretch/Yin/Restorative)
• Strive for certification in all YogaSix formats
• Model the gold standard for what an exceptional YogaSix class should be
• Support or lead teacher training, workshops and continuing education for instructors

2. Mentor and Uplift Fellow Teachers

• Partake in Instructor Observations, up to 2x per week on average, by providing actionable feedback and foster individual teaching style within the YogaSix framework
• Collaborate on teacher recruitment, auditions, onboarding, and development
• Guide new instructors through class format sign-offs and skill-building through public workshops, staff workshops, continuing education opportunities, format sign offs
• Brainstorm / designate instructor or lead / help promote workshops 1x per quarter
• Uphold and communicate Blue Six expectations, studio professionalism, and customer service values
• Support colleagues through mentorship, active listening, and performance development

3. Manage Weekly Class Schedule with Head of Programs

• Analyze class schedules, instructor KPIs, and revenue boosters
• Serve as point of contact for schedule changes and holiday class coordination

4. Support Hiring, Onboarding, and Offboarding

• Long-term responsibility for leading the instructor hiring process (application intake, audition review, compensation offers)
• Ensure instructors maintain a minimum of 2 scheduled classes per week
• Own the entire onboarding process—from welcome emails to documentation completion
• Handle offboarding procedures with professionalism and care

5. Act as a Studio Leader

• Serve as a leadership presence and liaison between instructors and studio staff
• Support the General Manager in aligning operations with Blue Six’s goals
• Step in for the GM when needed to coordinate communication and teacher support

6. Assist with Class Coverage and Communication

• Work closely with the Instructor Coordinator to ensure class coverage at Solana Beach and Carlsbad-The Forum via NetGym.
• Step in to teach or assist with sub coverage as needed

Qualifications & Preferences

• Required: RYT 200 minimum, Registered Yoga Alliance Instructor
• Preferred: E-RYT 200 or RYT 500+
• Must be a current instructor at YogaSix Solana Beach or Carlsbad-The Forum.
• Experience with leadership, mentorship, or education delivery is strongly preferred

Expected Hours

• 10-12 per week (in-studio and remote)
