Bliss Integrated Bodywork is a community-centered wellness studio where all bodies are welcome to find balance, breathe, and be. We bring together therapeutic massage and bodywork, pilates and movement training, and education. Our wellness studio is located along the growing South Knoxville waterfront on Sevier Avenue just minutes from Downtown Knoxville and The Urban Wilderness.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients, ensure they have completed intake forms, and help them get oriented in the studio
• Conduct thorough client consults to understand their needs and goals
• Create a nurturing and safe environment for clients, upholding professional boundaries and effectively communicating with clients to ensure a positive experience
• Provide professional massage therapy treatments tailored to each client, utilizing appropriate and effective therapeutic modalities for their needs and goals
• Educate clients on the benefits of regular massage therapy, recommend treatment plans, schedule follow up appointments, and check clients out for services provided
• Maintain a clean treatment environment, performing light cleaning duties and completing studio checklists
• Collaborate with team members and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients
• Adhere to all state and local regulations and professional standards for privacy, cleanliness, hygiene, and safety

Requirements:

• Valid state license as a TN Licensed Massage Therapist and Professional Liability Insurance
• Proficiency in therapeutic modalities, including Swedish and deep tissue massage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Genuine desire to connect and create a positive experience for clients
• Physical ability to conduct massage for full or half shifts
• Commitment to work at least 75% of selected shifts over a 30 or 60 day period and availability to work at least one evening and weekend shift per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to two years professional experience
• Preferred modalities: Swedish, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, cupping, manual lymphatic drainage, prenatal massage, craniosacral therapy, table Thai
• Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
