We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Relations Representative with a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy certification, and Social Work experience to join our new team in Houston, Texas. Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the organization professionally and engage with the community in a welcoming and supportive manner.

• Provide social work support by assessing community needs, connecting individuals with resources, and assisting with case management.

• Perform phlebotomy and basic medical assistant duties at community events, health fairs, and outreach programs.

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions while assisting with events and healthcare outreach efforts.

• Use technology for scheduling, record-keeping, and communication.

• Transport, set up, and dismantle heavy equipment for community health initiatives and events.

• Collaborate with local organizations, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to support community members.

• Work mandatory weekends as required for events and outreach efforts.


Requirements:

• Valid Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy certification/license.

• Background in Social Work (degree in Social Work or relevant experience preferred).

• Patience and a positive attitude when interacting with community members.

• Ability to serve with a smile and maintain a welcoming presence.

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving for work-related activities.

• Comfortable using technology, including computers, mobile devices, and communication tools.

• Must be able to lift and transport heavy equipment as needed for events and activities.

• Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in community relations, healthcare outreach, or social work.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bilingual skills are a plus.
