Job Description

BKREA is seeking an Investment Sales Intern to join our team for a one-year rotational program. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the commercial real estate industry, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to high-impact projects.


Duties/Essential Functions

  • Conduct market research and analysis to support various brokerage activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for clients.
  • Analyze financial models and real estate valuations.
  • Support data collection and management efforts using both traditional and modern technologies.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing insights and contributing to strategic discussions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand the full scope of BKREA’s operations and services.
  • Create detailed and accurate Opinions of Value (OVs) by conducting thorough market research and analyzing comparable sales.
  • Use OVs to support negotiation strategies and provide clients with clear insights into the potential value of their land.
  • Regularly analyze and interpret current market conditions, trends, and economic indicators that impact land sales.
  • Utilize data and market insights to inform and adjust transaction strategies.
  • Prepare market reports and updates to share with clients and the internal team, highlighting significant trends and opportunities.
  • Schedule and coordinate property tours for prospective buyers, showcasing the property's features and potential.
  • Lead tours, providing in-depth knowledge and answering any questions from attendees.
  • Support development prospecting efforts by gathering detailed ownership information and compiling relevant building and ZFA (Zoning Floor Area) metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of pitch materials and OV proposals for land in Manhattan and other areas as requested by senior management.


Requirements

  • Highly Preferred: Active New York Salesperson License or currently in the process of acquiring the license.
  • Based in NYC and available to work in-office at least 2 days a week.
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate market trends is a plus.
