Required Experience

• 1-3 years of software development experience on a team of professional developers
• A solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, Web APIs, modern JavaScript tooling
• Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback through mentoring, pair programming sessions, and code reviews
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices including: Git-based collaboration; Trunk-based development; and Continuous Integration & Delivery

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers and engineers to build world-class educational content websites
• Implement designs, interactions, animations, and integrations on our websites using Next.js, React, and TailwindCSS
• Translate product ideas into a set of tasks that can be delegated and collaborated on with teammates
• Build ownership of our product, ensuring delivery, reliability, stability, and speed
• Ensure our product is built with change in mind; we have tests and practices to ensure that we can rapidly modify our product without breaking it
• Have fun, be scrappy, and respectful

• An interest in functional programming
• A desire to grow outside of your comfort zone (Want to learn Elixir, SQL, etc? We’ll teach you!)
• Experience with writing tests at different levels, from integration & acceptance testing using browser drivers, to lower-level testing such as property-based testing and unit-testing

Interview Process

• 25 minute phone screen
• 1 hour technical interview (Pair Programming)
• 1 hour interview with Co-Founders
• 1 hour minute final interview with CTO
