Birth Control Pharmacist is dedicated to promoting public health services and products at pharmacies, with a focus on reproductive health. Some of our work is made possible by federal and state funding and foundations.
The Grant Coordinator provides administrative, project management, and compliance support for all grant-funded and research-related activities. This role serves as the organizational hub for grant administration and supports the Director of Research & Innovation by ensuring deadlines, reporting requirements, documentation, participant logistics, and compliance activities are completed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
Grant Identification & Applications
- Research and track relevant grant opportunities from local, state, federal, and private foundation funders
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant applications, including narratives, budgets, and required attachments
- Maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines and renewal opportunities
Grant Management & Compliance
- Support IRB submissions and recordkeeping
- Manage post-award grant requirements, including compliance with funder terms, conditions, and reporting schedules
- Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping for audits and monitoring activities
- Support compliance with federal and state requirements (e.g., allowable costs, reporting standards, and documentation)
Reporting & Project Coordination
- Prepare and submit interim and final grant reports in collaboration with the team
- Track grant performance metrics, deliverables, and outcomes as required by funders
- Serve as a point of contact for funder communications, including requests for information or clarifications
Administrative & Financial Support
- Coordinate with accounting to track grant budgets, expenditures, and documentation
- Coordinate participant incentives and disbursements
- Process invoices and administrative requests
- Maintain organized grant files, templates, and tracking systems
- Support leadership with grant forecasting, pipeline reporting, and funding analysis

Required Qualifications
- Must legally reside in the US and all work must be completed in the US (due to federal funding requirements). Specifically, must legally reside in CA, IA, IN, MA, MD, MO, or NY.
- Birth Control Pharmacist participates in the E-Verify program.
- 2+ years of experience in grants administration, coordination, or management
- Experience working with public funders (local, state, or federal) and/or private foundations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
- Experience with grant cycle management and grant reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with healthcare providers (especially pharmacists) is preferred, but not necessary.
- Passion for reproductive rights and access to health care
Salary and Benefits
- $60,000 - $68,000 annually, commensurate with experience and location
