Big Boy Mechanical & Plumbing LLC, a NJ based residential and commercial contractor, specializing in plumbing, heating, roughing, radiant, sewer snaking & jetting as well as service for commercial and residential customers. We are based in Bergen County NJ and have been providing quality plumbing, service, and heating since 2002.

Our service areas include Bergen, Hudson, Morris, Essex, union, Passaic, Middlesex, Sussex, somerset county and New York.

Our ideal candidate is a team player, can adapt to changes and situations, committed to doing top quality work, wants to learn and stay ahead of the curve with new products and services in the industry, open to learning, a great eye and skill for troubleshooting, most importantly MUST BE RELIABLE, WANTS TO WORK AND LOVE PLUMBING.

Salary is based upon knowledge and experience.

Signing bonus of $500.00 after 8 weeks

• Must have knowledge in all phases of residential plumbing and service troubleshooting and repairs
• Compliant with all reporting and recording on invoices
• Troubleshooting & diagnosing as well as explaining all problems and providing options and solutions to customers
• Ability to perform a complete and accurate inspection and communicate findings to customer
• Install and remove replacement parts and equipment per the manufacturer's specs
• Complete roughing for plumbing Residential and or commercial
• Able to complete documentation, timesheets, work orders, estimates, purchase orders, etc. (Using a tablet provided)
• Attending manufacturer training, team meetings, maintaining vehicle and tools provided
• Able to work overtime and or weekends (especially during peak seasons)
• Knowledge of plumbing terms and material A MUST
• Must be able to install water heaters, boilers, fixtures etc.
• Keep your truck stock with materials
• Able to pick up supplies from the Supply Houses
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Able to work independently and as a team player

Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license
• A minimum of 3 years experience working as a plumbing service technician
• Familiar with varied brands of water heaters, tankless, tank, boilers, etc.
• Able to communicate with staff and customers in a pleasant manner
• Able to work with a tablet to get work orders, and enter information (will teach)
• Must be able to read and write English
