Job Title: After School Lead Teacher - (Grade K-5)

Hours: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Monday to Friday

Salary Range: $17 - $22 per hour based on experience

Job Overview:

Beyond Care Enrichment and Engagement Program LLC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for overseeing our program norms and expectations around enrichment and engagement. Your role will involve developing and implementing engaging and educational activities that promote the academic, social, and emotional development of students. Your leadership and commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment will contribute to the overall success of our after school program.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with the academic needs and interests of middle school students.

- Create a safe and inclusive environment by implementing and enforcing behavior management strategies and safety protocols.

- Foster a positive and supportive learning atmosphere by building strong relationships with students and providing appropriate guidance and discipline when necessary.

- Engage and interact with students through discussions, group activities, and individualized instruction to enhance their learning experience.

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive after school program.

- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.

- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child’s academic progress and any concerns or achievements.

- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices and new teaching methodologies.

- Assist in the preparation and organization of materials, supplies, and equipment needed for daily activities.

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of students and their families.

Requirements:

- Minimum of a High School Diploma.

- Previous experience working with students in an educational or after school setting. (At minimum 1 year)

- Certification in CPR and First Aid. (Preferred, but not required)

- Passion for working with middle school students and a deep understanding of their developmental needs.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and co-workers.

- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle multiple priorities effectively.

- Ability to pass a background check and FBI Fingerprint, in accordance with state regulations.
