Position Summary:

As a Care Coordination Specialist at Better U, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients struggling with depression and anxiety. Your responsibilities will include communicating with patients, providing education about alternative mental health treatments, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Communicating with patients and prospective patients via phone and email to promptly address their needs and ensure positive experiences.
• Providing information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
• Updating client information in CRM and EHR systems accurately
• Scheduling initial intake appointments for patients
• Managing all necessary patient follow-up procedures
• Assisting patients with prescription refill requests
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned by leadership
• Representing Better U with professionalism, compassion, and thoughtfulness in all client interactions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in care coordination customer service, or a similar role, ideally in the wellness or healthcare sector
• Deep compassion and empathy for others
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience with confidential information
• A willingness to learn and a growth mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability and tools to work remotely
