This is a high-visibility, relationship-driven contract role at the intersection of patient experience, brand presence, and community outreach. Contract Details

  • Type: Independent Contractor
  • Duration: Summer 2025 (start and end dates TBD)
  • Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week; schedule flexible based on business needs and event demands
  • Location: Primarily on-site at the practice in Decatur, GA, with regular off-site community outreach
  • Rate: $18 – $23 per hour


Key Responsibilities

Patient & Office Experience


  • Serve as the primary point of contact and welcoming presence for patients, visitors, and incoming partners
  • Represent the practice brand with warmth, professionalism, and a consistent voice across all interactions
  • Gather patient feedback and surface insights to the practice owner to improve the overall experience


Social Media & Branding


  • Manage the practice's social media presence across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, etc.)
  • Plan, create, and schedule content including short-form video, patient-friendly educational posts, team highlights, and seasonal promotions
  • Maintain a consistent brand identity, tone, and aesthetic aligned with the practice's values and target patient demographic
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and grow the practice's online following
  • Track social media performance metrics and provide regular updates to the practice owner
  • Coordinate photography and videography for content creation as needed


Community Outreach & Business Partnerships


  • Proactively visit neighboring businesses, organizations, and community groups to introduce the practice and explore partnership opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a network of referral relationships with local businesses (gyms, salons, corporate offices, schools, etc.)
  • Propose and execute co-branded promotions, cross-referral programs, and joint initiatives with partner organizations
  • Represent the practice at local events, health fairs, and community gatherings
  • Maintain a tracker of outreach activity, contacts, and partnership outcomes


Events & Patient Growth


  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute in-office and community events to attract new patients and strengthen existing relationships
  • Coordinate logistics for events including vendor coordination, marketing materials, RSVPs, and post-event follow-up
  • Collaborate with the practice owner on patient acquisition campaigns including referral programs, promotional offers, and seasonal outreach
  • Identify opportunities to grow the active patient base through creative, community-centered initiatives


Special Projects


  • Support the practice owner with ad hoc projects related to marketing, operations, and growth strategy
  • Research market trends, competitor activity, and patient preferences to inform practice positioning
  • Assist with the development of printed and digital marketing materials as needed



Qualifications

Required


  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — confident, warm, and articulate in person and in writing
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts in a professional or brand context
  • Proficiency with content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Reliable transportation and comfort with local travel for outreach activities
  • Self-starter mentality with high initiative and a positive, can-do attitude


Preferred


  • Experience in a healthcare, dental, or wellness environment
  • Background in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and scheduling platforms (Later, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
  • Event coordination or community outreach experience
  • Knowledge of the Decatur market and and surrounding area local business landscape

  • Patients and visitors consistently feel welcomed and impressed by the office experience
  • The practice's social media presence grows in reach, engagement, and follower quality
  • A network of local business partnerships is established, with referral activity to show for it
  • At least one memorable community event is executed with measurable impact on patient inquiries or appointments
  • The practice owner feels supported, informed, and confident in the Ambassador's independent management of all brand-facing activities


Salary

$18 - $23 per hour
