About the Role:
We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Associate to help keep our church running smoothly! This role is at the heart of our daily operations—welcoming guests, supporting our staff and ministries, and making sure everything behind the scenes is organized and efficient. Reports To: Operations Manager
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Keeping Things Running Smoothly (Administrative Support)
- Be the friendly face (or voice!) who greets visitors, answers calls, and responds to emails.
- Help church staff and ministry leaders with administrative needs, such as preparing documents and keeping records organized.
- Keep member and attendance records up to date.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure that sensitive information is handled with care.
2. Staying Organized with Church Records & Finances
- Keep member and visitor details accurate in Planning Center (contact info, attendance, volunteer details, etc.).
- Assist with financial record-keeping, including basic bookkeeping in QuickBooks, processing donations, and generating reports when needed.
3. Providing Helpful Reports & Insights
- Track church engagement—attendance, volunteer activity, and more—so we can better serve our community.
- Generate reports to help leadership make informed decisions.
4. Supporting Staff & Volunteers
- Train staff and volunteers on how to use Planning Center (don’t worry—we’ll help you get comfortable with it too!).
- Be the go-to person for troubleshooting and coordinating with Planning Center support when needed.
5. Helping Spread the Word (Communication & Social Media)
- Assist with church communications—updating announcements, sharing events, and engaging with our church family online.
- Manage and update our social media platforms to keep our congregation connected.
- Monitor engagement and respond to inquiries to create a warm, welcoming online presence.
- Work with church leadership to ensure our messaging is clear, uplifting, and consistent.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher in business, communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in administration, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting.
- Familiarity with Planning Center and QuickBooks is a huge plus (or a willingness to learn!).
Skills You’ll Need:
- Strong organizational skills—you love keeping things in order!
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Social media savvy—comfortable posting updates and engaging with our online community.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a faith-based, team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for serving others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
Work Schedule & Pay:
- Monday – Thursday, 9 AM – 4 PM (28 hours per week) with partial benefits.
- Potential for Full-Time (31-40 hours/week) with full benefits.
- Starting at $20/hr.
