Position Overview: Berkeley Staffing is seeking skilled and experienced Senior IT Technicians to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will collaborate with other IT professionals to provide onsite support, installation services, and a variety of IT-related tasks for our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to networks, hardware, and software.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including operating systems and network solutions.
- Manage Active Directory, Microsoft applications, and Windows/Server OS environments.
- Utilize Microsoft PowerShell or similar command-line applications for system administration.
- Work with Linux operating systems and perform tasks via command-line and terminal access.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and network testing equipment for various IT tasks.
- Ensure proper transportation and secure handling of tools and equipment.
- Provide clear communication and documentation to clients and team members.
- Follow IT principles, standards, and practices to deliver high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher in an IT-related field such as computer science, technical support, or information technology is highly preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in computer networks, operating systems, or other IT-related roles.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Microsoft applications, Microsoft PowerShell, Windows/Server OS, and Linux OS.
- Familiarity with command-line interfaces and terminal access is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 15 lbs and perform hands-on tasks.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between job sites; a valid South Carolina driver’s license and evidence of insurance are required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
