Berkeley Staffing is looking to hire more than 200 experienced Commercial Electricians for various projects. The role involves planning, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment, following customer specifications and blueprints. Safety, efficiency, and high-quality standards are essential in this position.

Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan electrical installations to minimize waste, ensure safety, and provide future access.
  • Follow blueprints to install wiring before walls, ceilings, or floors are finished.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and assemble conduit with the help of an Electrician Helper.
  • Pull and splice wiring through conduits, securing connections with terminal caps or tape.
  • Connect wiring to power equipment, switch boxes, relays, and breaker panels.
  • Install control equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Test circuit continuity to ensure component safety and compatibility.
  • Observe and troubleshoot installed systems for potential hazards or the need for adjustments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Required Tools:


  • Multi-Voltage Tester, 9" Side Cutters, Channel Locks (440), Nut Drivers, Open End Wrenches, Lug Crimp Tool, Needle Nose Pliers, Tool Box or Bag w/lock, Hack Saw and Blade, Allen Wrenches, Flat Head and Phillips Screwdrivers, Sockets with Ratchet, Level, Crescent Wrenches, Leather Gloves, Tape Measure, Center Punch, Hammer, Flashlight, Tri-Square or Speed Square, Pad and Pencil, Wire Stripper, Diagonal Cutters.


Job Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of a Construction Electrician Course at a technical or trade school with at least 1 year of field experience, or a minimum of 3 years as an Electrician Helper.
  • High voltage experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use a volt meter/multimeter.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand, and work in varying environments.
  • Background check and drug test may be required based on job location.
