We are currently seeking a skilled Certified Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems. This role involves working in confined spaces, conducting inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment vital to our operations.
Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections, operational checks, and preventative maintenance tasks on electrical equipment.
- Assist in the repair, installation, and upkeep of centrifugal pumps, electric motors, motor control centers, and liquid level control systems.
- Install and maintain PLCs, VFDs, radio communication systems, conduits, electrical cables, and control panels.
- Operate various equipment including forklifts, cranes, and man lifts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to electrical systems.
- Ensure accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and documentation related to maintenance tasks.
- Strictly adhere to safety regulations and procedures at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hold certification as an Electrician.
- Possess a High School diploma or equivalent with Trade or Service School training in an electrical field.
- Possess an Associate degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to perform physical functions of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Have experience working with electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions.
- Familiar with NFPA 70E / NEC safety requirements.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork, and engagement.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic/electrical drawings and specifications.
- Availability for shift work and overtime as required.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Willingness to serve on-call and work after hours and weekends as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in basic electrical theory and safety procedures.
- Effective troubleshooting skills and ability to use diagnostic equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Capability to manage inventory and property effectively.
- Proficiency in using small office equipment and computers.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, lifting, climbing, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift and move up to ninety-five (95) pounds.
- Excellent vision and depth perception required.
Work Conditions:
- Flexibility to work during regular hours as well as after hours and weekends when necessary.
- Work environment may involve exposure to changing conditions and emergency situations.
