Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel and non-diesel vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Repair and maintain various systems, including powertrains, hydraulics, fuel injection, and air brake systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to assess vehicle and equipment conditions.
• Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics as needed.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools, schematics, and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform complex repairs with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying environmental conditions.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Must provide own hand tools and toolbox.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various physical positions.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
