This is a part time position, 29 hours per week. The ideal candidate can work Friday from 1pm-5pm, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 9am-5pm.

The ReStore Donation Ambassador (Driver) is responsible for driving to the donor location to receive donations for our ReStore locations. The Donation Ambassador is often BRHFH’s first and only contact with the donor and plays a critical part in communicating and demonstrating our mission and values. Donation Ambassadors provide excellent service, ensuring that donors have a positive experience with BRHFH (Bend Redmond Habitat for Humanity). Ambassadors partner with the scheduling coordinator to receive direction for pickups, answer donor questions, role model the BRHFH Core Values: Integrity, Compassion, Empowerment, Belonging, and assisting in the Store/Warehouse as needed.   

CORE DUTIES:

• Support the Bend Redmond Habitat for Humanity mission of building homes, communities, and hope.

·       Safely drive a box truck up to 20’ feet in length for the purpose of picking up donations

·       Maintain an insurable driving record.

·       Keep the truck well maintained and clean, reporting service needs or accidents in a timely manner.

·       Contact donors to verify address and pickup time.

·       Accept appropriate donations keeping in mind current stock and items not accepted.

• Provide coverage and support for all areas of the ReStore as needed, demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail in all areas.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all donors and customers receive the attention and assistance needed.
• Ensure donors, customers and volunteers have an excellent experience when working with all BRHFH ReStores and Donation Ambassadors.
• Effectively communicate the BRHFH and HFH missions to members of the public.
• Safely operate forklift and pallet jack as required.
• Respond to requests for help from other team members promptly and courteously.
• Properly and safely move items on and off the sales floor, into delivery areas or customer vehicles as needed.
• Assist with requests in other areas of the store as needed.
• Follow all safety practices to keep our store safe for team members, customers, volunteers, and donors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
• Comfortable operating mobile communication and navigation systems (smart phone, google map, donation programs, etc.)
• Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for supporting customers and proving outstanding store experience.
• Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including regularly walking our major facility, and lifting up to 30 pounds
