Position Title: Certified K–12 Teacher (Elementary KG-2nd)

Location: BITS Preparatory Academy

Start Date: Summer Learning Program → Fall School Year

Employment Type: Part-Time (6:00am to 12:30pm -OR- 12:00pm to 6:30pm)

BITS Preparatory Academy is a small, inclusive private learning program focused on individualized instruction, life skills, and whole-child development. We support both general education learners and students needing additional academic or behavioral support.


We are seeking a Certified K–12 Teacher to lead a small-group lower elementary (KG-2nd) classroom beginning in our Summer Learning Program and continuing into the Fall school year.


Position Overview

The Certified Teacher will provide differentiated instruction for a small group of students, focusing on academics, life skills, and individualized learning. This role collaborates with behavioral support staff to ensure student success.


Requirements

  • Active Teaching Certificate (K–12 or Elementary Education)
  • Florida certification preferred
  • Experience with differentiated instruction preferred
  • Experience with special education or inclusive classrooms a plus
  • RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification or willingness to obtain required credentials within first 90 days


Responsibilities

  • Provide academic instruction in core subjects
  • Differentiate instruction for varying ability levels
  • Develop lesson plans and learning activities
  • Support executive functioning and life skills
  • Collaborate with behavior team
  • Track student progress
  • Maintain structured classroom environment
  • Communicate with families and leadership
  • Participate in summer program and continue into fall
