RBT Career Ladder & Compensation:
Behavior Independence utilizes a tiered RBT structure, with annual advancement opportunities based on demonstrated competency, reliability, and professional growth.
- Entry-Level RBT:
- Paid on-site training and supervised clinical experience
- Support toward RBT certification requirements
- Mid-Level RBT:
- Increased clinical responsibilities
- Higher hourly pay tied to certification and skill demonstration
- Assistance obtaining PDUs to maintain RBT credentials
- Advanced RBT Levels:
- Additional responsibilities (e.g., mentorship support, increased independence)
- Higher pay tiers aligned with performance, tenure, and professional development
- Assistance with obtaining PDUs to maintain RBT credentials
- Increased opportunities for specialized training and supervision support for those obtaining their fieldwork hours in ABA.
Hourly Pay Range: $18.00–$24.00 per hour
(Pay level is determined by placement within the RBT career ladder.)
What You’ll Do:
Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), you will:
- Implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based ABA strategies
- Support skill development in communication, social interaction, adaptive behavior, and independence
- Collect accurate session data and follow clinical protocols
- Collaborate with supervisors and multidisciplinary team members
- Build professional, respectful relationships with children and families
- Maintain ethical, client-centered, and trauma-informed care
Training & Support:
- Paid training is provided for required, on-site training activities
- Ongoing clinical supervision and mentorship
- Support toward obtaining and maintaining RBT certification
- Optional off-site or self-directed training may be pursued independently and is not required
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in working with children with autism and their families
- Reliability, professionalism, and willingness to learn
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
This is an excellent entry-level role for individuals exploring careers in behavioral health, therapy, education, or human services.
