We are seeking a hands-on Director of Finance Operations who'll be both a strategic thinker and most importantly a day-to-day executor, focused on ensuring accuracy and optimization of our revenue operations. At Batch, we're proud to host 2,000+ experience partners across 35+ cities on our platform, operating on a dual revenue model of booking commissions and monthly partnership fees. We’re looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and own our take rate model, manage cash flow processes, ensure every penny is accounted for, and collaborate with our executive team (CEO, COO, CRO, COS) and engineering to strengthen our financial infrastructure. The perfect candidate is a proven leader who can take direct ownership of company financials, with a demonstrated history of driving growth and profitability at early to mid-stage startups.

On the partner side, we’re laser focused on driving growth to SMBs across 35+ cities in the US. We are a post-Series A startup, that’s raised $25M+ from the top consumer marketplace investors in the World. We are a lean team of 40+ employees with excellent retention, because who doesn't love building a party platform?!
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the company’s financial model. Your north star metrics will be take rate management from marketplace bookings, and recurring revenue growth from monthly fees.
- Manage the companies cash flow, including monitoring delayed payments and refunds to ensure proper cash management
- Partner with Engineering to improve our financial infrastructure and tracking capabilities
- Support financial modeling and board meeting preparation, working with the CEO, COO, CCO, & COS to deliver accurate insights
- Monitor and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring complete accuracy in our reporting
- Optimize financial processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
Must haves:
- Proven player/coach who can both architect strategy and drive hands-on execution
- Self-starter who thrives working autonomously as a self-directed team of one, while maintaining strong collaboration with stakeholders
- Strong understanding of financial operations and revenue tracking
- Direct marketplace experience is a must* - Proven track record of building and optimizing financial operations in a multi-sided marketplace
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel and financial software proficiency
- High attention to detail and process-oriented mindset
- Willingness to be hands-on and drive day-to-day execution in an incredibly high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

- 8-10 years of experience in financial operations or related roles
- Knowledge of payment systems and revenue operations
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams
- You have excellent references, where former managers or leaders will vouch for you in any company
- Ideal candidate is preferably located in Austin, Philadelphia, or NYC, though not required

Salary
$145,000 - $165,000 per year
