BASH is hiring Warehouse Associates for our brand-new warehouse — and we're looking for people who take pride in getting things exactly right, every single time. You'll be cross-trained in both Picking and Packing from day one, because the person who pulls an order and the person who double-checks it before it ships are protecting the same customer.
Building Something From Day One
BASH is an early-stage startup — which means the systems you'll work in are real, but they're not finished, and they're not going to stay exactly the same forever. Processes will keep improving. Things will get built, tested, and made better in real time. If you're the kind of person who has ideas about how something could work better, we want to hear them — this isn't a company where you disappear into a crowd doing the same job the same way it's always been done. Every person we hire at this stage helps shape how BASH actually runs.
Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate is the core of BASH's warehouse floor — picking every order accurately, then packing and verifying it before it heads out the door. You're trained in both from the start, and once you've shown you've got each one down, you'll be eligible to work as a Floater, moving wherever the day needs you most. It's detail-focused work that directly determines whether a customer gets exactly what she ordered, packaged exactly the way BASH does it.
Key Responsibilities
• Pick orders accurately using a handheld scanner and pick list
• Put away received inventory in its correct location
• Verify order contents against the pick list before packaging
• Pack orders to BASH's packaging and presentation standard
• Stage completed orders by delivery route
• Participate in scheduled cycle counts
• Immediately flag and report any missing, damaged, or mismatched product
• Keep your work area and packing station clean, stocked, and safe
• Cross-train across Picking and Packing, and take on Floater assignments once you've demonstrated both
Who Thrives at BASH
You'll probably love working here if...
• You naturally move with urgency.
• You like staying busy.
• You enjoy helping people.
• You notice details other people miss.
• You take pride in doing things the right way.
• You enjoy working as part of a team.
• You like solving problems instead of complaining about them.
• You like learning.
• You enjoy building something from the ground up.
Required Qualifications
We hire for character first. If you're reliable, coachable, and genuinely care about doing good work, we can teach you almost everything else. The list below is kept short on purpose — only what genuinely can't be trained on the job.
• Ability to read, follow, and double-check instructions carefully
• Strong attention to detail, even when moving quickly
• Basic comfort using a handheld scanner or similar device — we'll train you on our specific system
• Willingness to be cross-trained across Picking and Packing — this is built into the role, not optional
• Reliable transportation and ability to work scheduled shifts
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for a full shift
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
• Previous warehouse, retail stocking, fulfillment, or packing experience
• Experience with barcode scanners or inventory systems
• An eye for presentation — gift wrapping, merchandising, styling, anything where “how it looks” mattered
Physical Requirements
• Frequently lift up to 30 lbs
• Stand, walk, and bend for the majority of a shift, moving between picking and packing stations
• Repetitive motion — reaching, scanning, packing, sealing, labeling
Employment Type
Part-Time
BASH is intentionally launching with part-time positions as we build responsibly. As the business grows, high-performing team members may have real opportunities to move into full-time roles — based on company growth, operational needs, and performance. This is a disciplined choice, not a limitation: we'd rather grow the right way than overpromise and walk it back.
We understand our team members have lives outside of work — school, parenting, another part-time job, or just the rest of life. While business needs always come first, we strive to create consistent schedules and communicate early whenever possible. We believe flexibility works best when it's built on reliability, communication, and mutual respect.
Compensation & Benefits
Warehouse Associate starts at $16/hour.
Because we're an early-stage startup, our launch team positions are part-time and do not currently include traditional benefits such as health insurance, paid vacation, or paid holidays. Instead, we've focused on creating a workplace where people genuinely enjoy showing up — offering growth opportunities, direct access to leadership, product perks, and the chance to help build something meaningful from day one.
As BASH grows, we fully intend to expand our employee benefits alongside the company.
Schedule Expectations
Weekend availability required. Full availability strongly preferred in November, our first holiday season. Shift flexibility expected in the first few months as we learn our real volume patterns — consistent scheduling is the goal after that.
Success at BASH
Every BASH employee — regardless of role — is customer-obsessed, reliable, coachable, accountable, kind, urgent without rushing, solution-oriented, humble, team-first, adaptable, takes pride in their work, protects the BASH brand, communicates respectfully, owns mistakes, and improves continuously. This doesn't change by title. See the BASH Success Profile for the full standard.
Success in This Role (First 90 Days)
• Pick and pack accuracy are both consistently high — mistakes are rare, and you catch your own before anyone else has to
• You know the warehouse layout well enough that you rarely need to double back
• Every package you send out looks like it came from the same brand, every time
• You've earned (or are close to earning) Floater certification — comfortable moving between picking and packing without missing a beat
Growth Opportunities
This isn't just a part-time warehouse job — it's a chance to grow with BASH. We believe in promoting from within whenever possible. Someone who starts as a Warehouse Associate today could absolutely become a Trainer, a Lead, a Supervisor, an Operations Manager, or another leadership role as we grow. We're building careers, not just filling shifts.
Every Warehouse Associate is cross-trained in Picking and Packing from day one — once you've demonstrated both, you're eligible for Floater assignments, which is a scheduling milestone, not a new title. Real promotion moves toward Trainer, Lead, Warehouse Supervisor, or Operations Manager. Several of the people we're most excited to promote in year two will have started exactly here.
Launch Team Perks
• Monthly BASH Beauty Credit — product on us, every month
• Early access to new product launches, before anyone else sees them
• Occasional product testing opportunities
• Direct access to leadership — really, actually direct
• A small team where every voice matters
• A genuine promote-from-within philosophy
• The chance to help build a company from the ground up, not just work inside one that's already finished
• Cross-training in Picking and Packing from day one — it's how the role works, and it's your fastest path to Floater eligibility
• Real professional development — through hands-on experience, not a training video
Why People Love Working Here
A small team where your work is visible, not lost in a huge operation. Direct access to leadership — the Founder knows your name. Room to grow into something bigger if you want it, or to just be excellent at what you do if that's what you're looking for. Either way, you're building something real.
✦ A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
We're not looking for perfect resumes. We're looking for great people.
We can teach our systems. We can teach our technology. We can teach our processes. What we can't teach is character.
If you're reliable, kind, coachable, accountable, and excited to help build something meaningful, don't let a few missing qualifications stop you from applying. I'd rather meet someone with the right mindset than miss out on someone incredible because they underestimated themselves.
If you're looking for somewhere to simply clock in and clock out, BASH probably isn't for you.
But if you're excited about building something meaningful, serving our community, learning, growing, and helping build a company from the very beginning, I genuinely hope you'll apply. I'd love the opportunity to meet you.
