Job Overview:

As a Music/Choir Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. You will develop lesson plans, implement instructional activities, and plan/lead community performances. Your role will involve collaborating with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure the overall success of our students.

Responsibilities:

- Teach K-5 music, middle school choir, and high school choir.

-Assist and lead musical performances (i.e., Christmas program, spring choral performance, and caroling.)

-Create engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards

- Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to accommodate different learning styles

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and cooperation

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for student success

- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns

- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events

- Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and educational trends

Requirements:

- Strong Christian faith and commitment

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

- Valid teaching certification/license or related qualifications

- Previous experience teaching music/choir students

- Strong knowledge of music curriculum and educational standards

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Passion for working with children and a dedication to their musical, performing, and personal growth

- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners

- Familiarity with technology and its integration into the classroom

Salary:

The salary offer will be based on qualifications and experience.
