Pet Groomer – Bark & Bone Premium Dog Nutrition & Luxury Grooming

Are you a skilled, compassionate dog lover with a passion for transforming pups into their most fabulous selves? Bark & Bone, a premier boutique in Carmel, Indiana, specializing in luxury grooming and premium raw nutrition, is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our dedicated team. You'll deliver elevated, personalized spa experiences that leave every dog looking stunning, feeling pampered, and thriving—while creating joyful moments for their discerning owners. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough bathing and drying of dogs using premium products and gentle techniques to ensure a clean, healthy coat and stress-free experience.
• Execute precise grooming services, including breed-standard haircuts, trims, styling, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary grooming tailored to each dog's unique needs and coat type.
• Engage with clients warmly and professionally—consult on grooming preferences, recommend services or add-ons, and provide education on coat care, wellness tips, and how grooming complements our premium nutrition offerings.
• Identify and capitalize on upselling opportunities (e.g., specialty shampoos, deshedding treatments, teeth brushing, or pairing grooming with raw diet recommendations) to enhance the dog's care and client satisfaction.
• Handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments with patience, confidence, safety-first practices, and genuine affection.
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming station  that reflects our elevated standards of cleanliness and luxury.
• Collaborate closely with the front desk and sales team for seamless appointments, smooth handoffs, and cohesive service delivery.
• Commit to continuing education—stay current on grooming techniques, breed standards, safety protocols, new tools/products, and pet wellness trends through ongoing training, certifications, and team sessions.
• Ensure every groom meets our high-quality, pet-loving expectations while prioritizing the dog's comfort and well-being.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a professional pet/dog groomer with strong skills in bathing, grooming, and breed-specific cuts (working interview with demo grooms)
• Deep passion for dogs and a true appreciation for high-end pet care, including luxury grooming and premium nutrition.
• Excellent customer service skills—warm, informative, engaging, and able to build trust while conveying our premium, exclusive vibe.
• Comfort and confidence handling a variety of dogs in a fast-paced salon setting.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask during busy days.
• Weekend availability is required—our peak times are when families pamper their pups!
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and dedicated to upholding our standards of excellence, fun, and pet-centric care.
