This role leads a two-person mowing-route crew while working hands-on to maintain residential, commercial, and HOA properties. This position is responsible for completing routes safely and efficiently, maintaining quality standards, documenting work in Jobber, and overseeing assigned properties, vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment.
Banana Landscape is looking for an experienced Landscape Technician Crew Lead who takes pride in quality work, communicates well, and can safely lead a two-person landscape mowing-route crew. This is a hands-on field position for someone who can keep the route productive and on schedule while overseeing assigned properties and equipment.
The Crew Lead will drive a company truck with a landscape trailer and lead a two-person landscape mowing route across residential, commercial, and HOA properties. The right person is dependable, organized, respectful, and ready to take ownership of property quality, route pace, Jobber documentation, equipment, safety, and communication.
• Safely drive a company truck while towing, backing, parking, connecting, and disconnecting a landscape trailer.
• Lead a two-person landscape mowing-route crew to complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and to Banana Landscape standards.
• Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, pruning, weeding, spring and fall cleanups, and basic property care. In the winter months, snow and ice management.
• Review the daily schedule, job instructions, property notes, and priorities before beginning work.
• Assign and coordinate daily tasks and maintain an appropriate pace without sacrificing detail or quality.
• Inspect completed work, correct quality concerns, and leave properties, sidewalks, beds, gates, and work areas clean and secure.
• Use Jobber to clock in and out, follow schedules, review notes, document completed work, and upload clear photos and helpful property observations.
• Oversee assigned properties, confirm recurring service requirements are completed, and document customer concerns, damaged plants, irrigation issues, safety concerns, and opportunities for additional work.
• Oversee the assigned truck, trailer, tools, and equipment and keep them clean, organized, secure, and in safe working condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, supervisors, and office staff.
• At least two years of professional landscape maintenance experience.
• Previous experience leading or running a two-person landscape maintenance crew, including assigning work and checking quality.
• Demonstrated experience safely driving a truck while towing and backing a landscape trailer.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
• Working knowledge of commercial landscape equipment and safe operating practices.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in changing weather, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependable transportation to the designated starting location.
• Ability to use a smartphone and learn or consistently use Jobber for scheduling, timekeeping, notes, and photos.
• Takes pride in doing the job correctly and notices the details that make a property look finished.

• Communicates questions and concerns early instead of letting problems grow.
