Baldwin Communication Solutions LLC is a growing low voltage contracting company specializing in commercial security and communication systems. We design, install, and service access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and related low voltage systems for commercial clients throughout Georgia.
We are seeking a dependable, experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and is committed to delivering high-quality installations and exceptional customer service.
Position Overview
The Lead Technician will be responsible for leading field installations, managing job site activities, mentoring technicians, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership ability, and the professionalism to represent our company in front of customers and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation and commissioning of commercial low voltage systems.
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling.
- Configure and program access control, CCTV, intrusion, and fire alarm systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and project specifications.
- Direct and supervise technicians and helpers on job sites.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and daily project activities.
- Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.
- Complete service calls, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and service reports.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and project managers.
- Train end users on system operation when required.
- Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Identify potential project issues and proactively communicate solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the low voltage industry.
- Experience with commercial access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and/or fire alarm systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading crews and managing job site activities.
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and construction sites.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Travel Requirements
- Daily travel to commercial job sites throughout Georgia.
- Most projects allow employees to return home daily.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
