The Video Editor is responsible for editing and delivering short-form and long-form video content for Back Nine’s social media channels, YouTube, franchisee communications, and brand campaigns. This role ensures high-quality video production through strong storytelling, pacing, color correction, audio editing, captions, and organized project workflows.
Back Nine Golf is redefining the golf entertainment experience with a modern, tech-driven model that’s designed for fun, inclusivity, and scalability. Unlike traditional indoor golf or bar concepts, Back Nine offers a sleek, members-first atmosphere centered around top-of-the-line golf simulators, elevated design, and a premium social experience.
Our concept blends private simulator bays, customizable gameplay, and a relaxed yet upscale environment—appealing to serious golfers, families, and social groups alike. It’s not just about golf; it’s about community, entertainment, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome.
We’re in a rapid growth phase with a goal of 300 open locations by the end of this year. Our franchise model is built for scalability, offering franchisees a high-quality, well-supported entry into the booming golf and entertainment space.
At Back Nine, we’re building something unique—and we’re looking for team members who are excited to grow with us as we expand nationwide.
Why this role exists
Back Nine runs indoor golf facilities across the country and is growing fast. We shoot a lot: facility
openings, members, competitive events, athlete partnerships, and app features. Footage piles up when nobody owns post. You will, working side by side with our Content Lead / Producer.
What you will do
• Edit short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, daily
• Cut longer pieces for YouTube, franchisee communications, and brand campaigns
• Shape story and pacing so every piece hooks early and holds attention
• Handle color correction, audio cleanup, music, captions, and delivery specs for every platform
• Cut one piece into many: the main edit, vertical versions, teasers, and stills
• Work from brand templates and graphics packages provided by our design team
• Keep footage and project files organized so anyone can find anything
What makes it hard
The volume is high and the turnaround is short. On a given day you might cut three social posts and pick back up on a long-form edit. You will also be editing for a brand that is mid-refresh, so expect some iteration as the look settles.
What you bring
• 3+ years editing video professionally for a brand, agency, studio, or creator
• A reel that shows both short-form and long-form editing
• Strong Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve skills
• Experience editing short-form vertical content for social platforms
• Experience with color correction and audio mixing
Nice to have
• YouTube editing experience, especially retention-focused pacing
• Sports or golf content
• Basic After Effects skills for simple titles and graphics
• Comfortable picking up a camera when needed
