In January 2023, we are launching hybrid learning opportunities in certain locations. The online model consists of virtual support for students and caregivers. The hybrid model offers two days of in-person learning for students in addition to the online program. We believe that each child has unique needs and is therefore best served by an individualized learning plan. The Position

Specialty Teachers are contracted instructors brought in to teach enrichment classes and clubs and possess skills and knowledge on subjects typically outside of a classroom teacher’s expertise (i.e. photography, coding, robotics, art). This person will report to the Director of AZ Learning Communities and work closely with the rest of the team. The main tasks of the regular education teacher include, but are not limited to:

• Creating and maintaining an environment that fosters student achievement and the development of lifelong skills.
• Maximizing opportunities for student success by creating positive working relationships with students and their parents.
• Remaining flexible, innovative and adaptive to change.

The Person

• Expertise in their field evidenced by years of experience in their field or certifications, where appropriate.
• A valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card 
• At least 2 years working with students
• Prior experience as a home-educator or working with the homeschool community
• Demonstrated organizational and coordination skills
• Ability to maintain positive and professional interactions with students, parents, peers, other staff, and the public
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and to be held accountable for results.
• Skill and ability to motivate students to achieve educational success.
