Key Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
• Set up welding equipment, including selecting proper tungsten, filler materials, and machine settings
• Ensure welds meet quality standards, including appearance and structural integrity
• Inspect completed welds using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Work closely with fabrication and quality teams to meet production goals
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of TIG welding experience (or equivalent training/certification)
• Ability to pass a TIG weld test (if applicable)
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and metallurgy
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

Work Environment

• Manufacturing or fabrication shop setting
• Exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes
• Use of personal protective equipment required
