The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the flow of raw materials and finished goods within a manufacturing environment. Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including raw materials, components, and finished products
  • Schedule and track shipments with carriers, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency
  • Work closely with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to align material availability with production schedules
  • Manage inventory levels and support cycle counts and reconciliation processes
  • Monitor and improve freight costs, transit times, and overall logistics performance
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records in ERP systems
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies
  • Support demand planning and forecasting activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and supply chain operations



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (preferred)

Experience:

  • 0–3 years of experience (entry-level friendly; internships/co-ops highly valued)
  • Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse operations is a plus



Technical Skills

  • Understanding of supply chain and distribution principles
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, tracking, reporting)
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and forecasting concepts
  • Ability to analyze logistics data and identify trends



Working Conditions

  • Combination of office and shop floor/warehouse environment
  • Interaction with transportation providers, drivers, and production personnel
  • Occasional extended hours depending on shipping schedules or production demands


Salary

$20 - $24 per hour
