We are seeking an energetic Part-Time Operations & Technology Associate to support day-to-day operations across our spaces. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, is comfortable troubleshooting basic tech, and takes pride in maintaining clean, well-functioning environments. You’ll support facilities, member experience, and internal systems.

Avenu Workspaces, a product of InnovatePGH, operates four coworking and office locations in Oakland and Uptown, serving as a central hub for emerging tech entrepreneurs and professionals in the Pittsburgh Innovation District.

Primary Responsibilities


Facilities Management & Maintenance (~5-10 hours/week) 

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace by managing kitchen upkeep, tidying common areas, and handling mail and packages. 
  • Monitor and address facilities needs on a continuous basis, including submitting maintenance requests and coordinating with contractors. 
  • Lead a weekly internal facilities check-in to review priorities, track issues, and ensure follow-through. 
  • Track inventory and manage orders of snacks, beverages, and supplies. 


IT & Member Support (~10–15 hours/week) 

  • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, videoconferencing equipment, and basic tech issues 
  • Support workspace systems and automations (training provided) 
  • Assist with system integrations and workflow improvements; opportunities to build simple custom solutions if interested 
  • Manage access control systems, including issuing fobs, adjusting access groups, and resolving access issues (current system: Kisi) 


Special Improvement Projects (~10–15 hours/week) 

  • Lead a range of operational and facilities improvement projects. 
  • Set up amenities, improve technical infrastructure, and optimize workflows. 
  • Assist with space reconfigurations, installations, and general enhancements to the member experience. 


Experience, Skills + Personal Attributes 

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality spaces 
  • Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguous projects 
  • Basic technical troubleshooting skills (hardware/software, Wi-Fi, etc.) and willingness to learn new systems 
  • Comfort with hands-on, physical tasks (e.g., moving furniture) 
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed 
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle 
  • Experience in a service-oriented or member-facing role 


General Information

  • Salary: $20-$22 per hour 
  • Time Commitment: up to 30 hours per week 
  • Start Date: June 23, 2026 (flexible based on candidate availability) 
  • Schedule: weekdays during business hours
