Avela Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced clinician with expertise in working with autistic children and their families. The ideal candidate will provide parent-mediated interventions in a fully remote, fast-paced, and collaborative work environment. This role emphasizes a neurodiversity-affirming approach and supports parents as central agents in fostering their child’s growth and development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based parent-mediated interventions to families of autistic children across the age spectrum, tailoring strategies to meet both lower and high support needs.
  • Deliver services via telehealth, ensuring accessibility, flexibility, and consistent engagement with families.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary remote team, maintaining clear communication and cooperation to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Provide psychoeducation, coaching, and support to parents, empowering them to implement interventions effectively in their everyday routines.
  • Monitor child and family progress, and, with supervision, adjust intervention strategies as needed to align with individualized goals.


Qualifications

  • Credentialed or licensed as a BCBA, social worker, psychologist, or counselor,
  • Documented experience working with autistic children including those with lower and high support needs, from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective.
  • Proficiency in delivering services via telehealth platforms.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote, team-based environment.
  • Commitment to a family-centered, strengths-based approach to supporting autistic individuals and their families.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions and/or Collaborative and Proactive Solutions.
  • Experience with parent coaching and training in naturalistic, home-based settings.
  • Experience delivering group-based interventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse family systems and cultural backgrounds.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, fully remote healthcare environment.
